From Pia

Shana’s designs are always on point! Her attention to finishing details result in handknits that are both unique and classic. Her patterns are well written and thoughtful. I’m a fan! Pia has test knit several Shanalines Designs patterns!

From TheKnittedBean

I appreciate the recipe or blueprint-like quality of the Shanalines Designs patterns which leave space for the maker to get truly creative and give each piece their own touch whether that be by substitution of yarns, or by the ease with which this allows the use of handspun that might have varying gauge, or even modular play with color. Ten different people can make a pattern by Shana and it can look like ten different patterns, there are no cookie cutters here! TheKnittedBean test knit Share the Fun.

From Lisa M.

Shana’s deigns are addictive. They are easy to follow, look great in all types of yarn (handspun and commercial) , and make great gifts. Lisa has test knit many Shanalines Designs patterns including L'dor Va Dor Shawl, Tater Tots Bandana, Coexist, and Always Forward Poncho.

From Gwynethnotpaltrow

I really appreciate how organized Shana was with this test knit. The pattern was straightforward to knit, but she was very open and responsive to knitter feedback. It really made the test feel like a collaborative effort. Gwyneth test knit L'Dor Va Dor Shawl.

From Nan P.

Shana consistently produces engaging and fun to knit designs, and offers great pattern support. She is really fun to test knit for, as well. I love the playful and meditative aspects of her knits. Nan test knit Coexist, and has knit other Shanalines Designs patterns.

From Amanda S.

This was a super meditative or rhythmic knit that once I had the pattern repeats down, I just kept cruising. I really like both sides to this, and actually think it would make a really cute pattern for a tee! Amanda test knit Coexist.

From Lisa M.

Testing the Coexist Cowl was a pleasure. The pattern was easy to follow and communication with Shana was terrific. All questions were answered promptly and professionally.  Lisa test knit Coexist.

From Tina P.

I have knit many of Shana’s patterns and never been disappointed! Her patterns are always fun to knit with really interesting construction so they’re never boring to knit (sometimes I can be a short attention span knitter!) She provides really clear instructions for techniques and great tutorials as well. Shana is one of my very favorite designers and I am always excited when I see she has a new pattern. Tina has knit many Shanalines Designs patterns!

From Katie T.

I always love Shana's patterns - they are so clear but leave so much room for creativity! They are the perfect balance of direction and inspiration that I often make more than one of all her patterns. I especially love the analogous shawl and can imagine it in so many different color combos! Katie test knit Analogous.

From Marieke, Solace in Stitches

Duplex is a quick and fun to make. The striping and modular joining kept me engaged throughout the project without being to complicated. It's a great pattern to use up sock yarn leftovers and play with colors. Excited to cast on another one. Marieke test knit Duplex, and has knit many other Shanalines Designs patterns.
