This is a classic hat design worked in garter stitch with a snazzy twisted stitch detail for some pizzazz. It looks great with a pompom on top, if that’s your style. I designed it to be gender neutral and appealing to knitwear lovers of all ages!
The stretch accommodates many head sizes, making this a great gift project. The garter stitch is quite stretchy!!
Modify the overall height to create a looser or tighter fit.
Worsted weight yarn, such as Malabrigo Rios, 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 210 yd / 192 m per 100 g
Fingering weight yarn held double may be used to achieve gauge, or fingering weight with a strand of mohair for extra fluff!
