Do you ever find yourself knitting and pausing to admire the beauty and simplicity of color? I’ve fallen in love with the rich depth of handspun yarn, and this pattern celebrates subtle color shifts with simple texture. ASYNCHRONOUS LOOP uses stockinette and reverse stockinette stripes with short row inserts to create a subtly asymmetrical and one-of-a-kind cozy cowl. The design is built on a module and therefore easy to adjust for a longer or shorter piece. It’s totally reversible and great for handspun yarn or leftovers.

From TheKnittedBean
I appreciate the recipe or blueprint-like quality of the Shanalines Designs patterns which leave space for the maker to get truly creative and give each piece their own touch whether that be by substitution of yarns, or by the ease with which this allows the use of handspun that might have varying gauge, or even modular play with color. Ten different people can make a pattern by Shana and it can look like ten different patterns, there are no cookie cutters here!

I really appreciate how organized Shana was with this test knit. The pattern was straightforward to knit, but she was very open and responsive to knitter feedback. It really made the test feel like a collaborative effort.
